Repeal Top-Four Ranked-Choice Voting Initiative
Repeal Top-Four Ranked-Choice Voting Initiative
Alaska · November 3, 2026
What this measure does
Repeal the top-four ranked-choice voting (RCV) system that was adopted in 2020
A yes vote means
The state goes back to the traditional voting system where you pick just one candidate per race.
A no vote means
The top-four ranked-choice voting system stays in place.
Simple explanation
Right now, when you vote, you can rank candidates in order of preference (your 1st choice, 2nd choice, etc.), and the system counts votes in a special way to find a winner. This measure asks: should we go back to the old way of voting where you just pick one candidate?
