Prohibit School District Payroll Deductions for Labor Organization Dues and Collective Bargaining Agreements Amendment
Prohibit School District Payroll Deductions for Labor Organization Dues and Collective Bargaining Agreements Amendment
Arizona · November 3, 2026
What this measure does
Prohibit school district employee payroll deductions and collective bargaining for labor unions
A yes vote means
School districts can no longer automatically deduct union dues from employee paychecks and cannot collectively bargain with labor unions.
A no vote means
School districts can continue to allow automatic payroll deductions for union dues and continue collective bargaining with unions as they currently do.
Simple explanation
Right now, some school employees can have money automatically taken from their paychecks to pay union dues (like membership fees). This measure would stop that automatic deduction and also prevent school districts from negotiating contracts directly with unions. It's like saying you can't use your employer's payroll system to automatically send money to a group you belong to.
