What this measure does
Add the St. George Community School System to the list of school systems that are regarded and treated as parishes for purposes of operating a school system
A yes vote means
St. George Community School System gets the same legal treatment and operating powers as other school systems in the state.
A no vote means
St. George Community School System keeps operating under its current rules instead of getting the same status as other school systems.
Simple explanation
Right now St. George runs its schools a certain way. This vote would let them run things the same way that other school systems in the state do, which basically gives them the same legal powers and status. It's like saying St. George gets to play by the same rulebook as everybody else.
