Question 6
Question 6
Nevada · November 3, 2026
What this measure does
Provide for a state constitutional right to abortion before fetal viability
A yes vote means
Abortion before fetal viability becomes a protected right in the state constitution that lawmakers cannot restrict.
A no vote means
The state constitution does not gain this abortion protection, and abortion policy remains subject to state laws that could restrict or ban it.
Simple explanation
Right now, abortion decisions are made under federal law that's been changing. This measure would add a permanent rule to your state's constitution saying people can get an abortion up until the point a fetus can survive outside the womb (around 24 weeks), kind of like putting a rule in your house's foundation that can't be easily changed later.
