Referendum 120
Referendum 120
Oregon · November 3, 2026
What this measure does
Repeal sections of House Bill 3991 that increase the state's gas tax, payroll tax, and vehicle registration fees
A yes vote means
If this passes, the state gas tax, payroll tax, and vehicle registration fees will go back to their previous lower levels.
A no vote means
If this fails, the tax increases from House Bill 3991 will stay in effect.
Simple explanation
A few years ago, the state passed a law that raised taxes in three ways: making gas more expensive, taking a bit more from paychecks, and charging more when you register your car. This referendum asks you whether to undo those tax increases and go back to the old rates.
