Use of Legislative Congressional Redistricting Map Amendment
Use of Legislative Congressional Redistricting Map Amendment
Virginia · November 3, 2026
What this measure does
Allow the state legislature to conduct congressional redistricting between 2025 and 2030
A yes vote means
The state legislature gets to redraw congressional district boundaries between 2025 and 2030.
A no vote means
Whoever currently draws the congressional districts (or whatever process is in place) continues without this change.
Simple explanation
Right now, someone else draws the lines for congressional districts in your state. This measure would let the state legislature (your elected representatives) redraw those lines instead, sometime between 2025 and 2030. Think of it like letting your team pick the playing field instead of having an outsider do it.
